Viviana Rodriguez
Distressed Credit

Viviana Rodriguez is a sophomore studying Finance and Economics in the Smeal College of Business and the College of Liberal Arts respectively, from Ringwood, NJ. She joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Spring of 2020 and currently serves the Director of Distressed Credit. Viviana previously served as an Associate Analyst in the Media and Communications Sector. Viviana will be interning for Morgan Stanley in their Fixed Income Sales & Trading Program Summer 2021. Her involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital include Wall Street Bootcamp, Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity, and Women in Business. Some of Viviana's interests include paddleboarding, yoga, cooking . She said that LLC has provided her with an early opportunity to become more educated on the world of fixed income and allowed her to solidify her future career choice. 

Anthony Saggese
Monthly Reports

Anthony Saggese is a junior studying Finance with a minor in Information Systems Management in the Smeal College of Business from Ithaca, NY. He joined Leveraged Capital in the Fall of 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Monthly Reports. He previously served as a Lead Analyst in the Consumer & Retail sector. Anthony will be interning for Cowen & Company in their Investment Banking Program Summer 2021. His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes Sigma Phi Epsilon and being a RedBull Brand Ambassador. Some of Anthony's interests include weight training, drone photography, and baseball. He said that Leveraged Lion Capital has put broadened his network of banks and alumni. 

Nathan Hagan
Weekly Reports

Nathan Hagen is a junior studying Finance in the Smeal College of Business from San Diego, CA. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Spring of 2020 and currently serves as the Director of Weekly Reports. He previously served as a Lead Analyst in the Information Technology sector. Nathan will be interning for Deutsche Bank in their Investment Banking Summer 2021 Program. His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes Wall Street Boot Camp and the Asset Management Group. Some of Nathan's interests include international travel, motorcycles, and the Korean language. He said that Leveraged Lion Capital has given him a better understanding of fixed-income markets and has given him an opprotunity for him to improve his technical skills and to network with other alumni who have experience with the Wall Street recruitment process.

Holden Hunter
Credit Research

Holden Hunter is a junior studying Finance with a minor in Economics in the Smeal College of Business and the College of the Liberal Arts respectively, from Austin, TX. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Fall of 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Credit Research. He previously served as a Lead Analyst in the Real Estate, Gaming, Leisure, & Financial Institutions Group. Holden will be interning for SMBC in their Debt Capital Markets Syndication Program Summer 2021. His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes the Penn State Cheerleading Team and the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Some of Holden’s interests include wakeboarding, snowboarding, and hiking. He said that Leveraged Lion Capital has given him the opportunity to learn about fixed income markets as well as how to take the steps towards seeking a successful career on Wall Street.

Matt Lindquist
Equity Research

Matt Lindquist is a junior studying Finance in the Smeal College of Business from Hopkinton, MA. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Spring of 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Equity Research. He previously served as the Lead Analyst in the Healthcare sector. Matt will be interning for Credit Suisse in their Investment Banking Program Summer 2021. His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes Wall Street Boot Camp and the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Some of Matt’s interests include watching Billions, football, and Game of Thrones. He said that Leveraged Lion Capital has exposed him to a different part of financial markets outside of the classroom and has increased his ambition by being surrounded with people who push him to be better.​

Julia Michael
Outreach

Julia Michael is a junior studying Finance with a minor in Economics from the Smeal College of Business and the College of Liberal Arts respectively, from Mullica Hill, NJ. She joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Fall of 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Outreach. She previously served as a Lead Analyst in the Media & Communications sector. Julia will be interning at Citigroup in their Sales & Trading Program Summer 2021. She previously interned for Deutsche Bank in their Sales, Trading, and Structuring Program in Summer 2020. Her involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes the Treasurer of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Wall Street Boot Camp. Some of Julia's interests include traveling, cooking, and running. She said that Leveraged Lion Capital has taught her how to take advantage of opportunities. Once you understand how to navigate the recruiting process and utilize Penn State resources you can lever these to jumpstart your professional career within the financial industry. 

Jay Balaji
PSFIA

Jay Balaji is a junior studying Finance with a minor in Information Sciences & Technology from the Smeal College of Business and the College of Information Sciences & Technology respectively, from Doylestown, PA. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Spring of 2020 and currently serves as the Director of PSFIA. He previously served as an Associate Analyst in the Consumer & Retail sector. This Summer Jay will return to PNC as an intern in the Risk Management division. His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes Mock Trial and Wall Street Boot Camp. Some of Jay's interests include the 76ers, Lost, and lifting. He said that Leveraged Lion Capital has given him the opportunity to gain hands on experience in learning the technical knowledge required for a career on Wall Street.

Katherine Horan
Education

Kate Horan is a junior studying Mathematics and Economics with a minor in Business from the Eberly College of Science and the College of Liberal Arts respectively, from Clifton Park, NY. She joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Spring of 2020 and currently serves as the Director of Education. She previously served as a Lead Analyst in the Materials sector. Kate will be interning for Citigroup in their Investment Banking FIG Program Summer 2021. Her involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes serving as the THON primary chair of Orchesis Dance Company and the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. Some of Kate's interests include dance, Indian culture, and dinosaur extinction. She said that Leveraged Lion Capital has given her the opportunity to develop her technical skills, learn about fixed income, and jumpstart her career in the field of finance alongside motivated individuals.

Joe Dignazio
Portfolio Analytics

Joe Dignazio is a junior studying Industrial Engineering with minors in Six Sigma and Economics from the College of Engineering and College of Liberal Arts respectively, from Aston, PA. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Spring of 2020 and currently serves as the Co-Director of Portfolio Analytics. Joe will be interning for Graham Partners in their Private Equity Program Summer 2021. He previously interned for Zelira Therapeutics as a Biotechnology Valuation Analyst. His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes Club Basketball, Beta Sigma Beta, Quarrel Capital Venture Fund, and Wall Street Bootcamp. Some of Joe's interests include layered fiction novels, poker, and basketball. He said that Leveraged Lion Capital has provided him with an outlet to merge his technical background with finance applications, while also connecting him with motivated learners pursuing highly coveted finance careers. 

Zack Himmel
Portfolio Analytics

Zack Himmel is a junior studying Finance with a minor in Economics from the Smeal College of Business and the College of Liberal Arts respectively, from Northport, NY. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Spring of 2019 and currently serves as the Co-Director of Portfolio Analytics. He previously served as the Lead Analyst in the Industrials sector. Zack will be interning for BNP Paribas in their Investment Banking Program Summer 2021. His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes Wall Street Boot Camp and the Phi Beta Lambda business fraternity. Some of Zack's interests include soccer, college football, and powerlifting. He said that Leveraged Lion Capital has helped expand his knowledge of fixed income and provided him with the skills necessary to succeed on Wall Street.

Nicholas Vanden
Quarterly Reports

Nick Vanden is a junior studying Finance with a minor in Information Systems Management from the Smeal College of Business from State College, PA. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Fall of 2019 and currently serves as the Co-Director of Quarterly Reports . Nick previously served as the Director of Equity Research. Nick will be interning for Bank of America in their Sales & Trading Program Summer 2021. His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes the Nittany Lion Fund and the travel Club Tennis team. Some of Nick’s interests include backpacking, black holes, and World War II tanks. He said that Leverage Lion Capital has provided him with a platform to learn about the fixed income markets as well as develop hard and soft skills to prepare him for the Wall Street recruiting process.

David Curtain
Quarterly Reports

David Curtin is a junior studying Finance with a minor in International Business in the Smeal College of Business from Pottstown, PA. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Fall of 2019 and currently serves as the Co-Director of Quarterly Reports. David previously served as the Director of Monthly Reports. David will be interning for Bank of America in their Investment Banking Program Summer 2021.His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes Nittany Lion Fund and the Global Business Brigade. Some of David’s interests include the Philadelphia Eagles, coffee, and playing basketball. He said that Leveraged Lion Capital has helped him develop time management and critical thinking skills.
