Ethan Laster 
Distressed Credit

Ethan Laster is a junior studying Mathematics with a minor in Statistics from the Eberly College of Science from Doylestown, PA. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Spring of 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Distressed Credit. Ethan previously served as the Director of Portfolio Analytics and Lead Analyst of the Information Technology sector and an Associate Analyst in the Materials sector. His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes Wall Street Boot Camp and the Penn State Finance Society. Some of Ethan's interests inlcude 80s movies, racquetball, and Suits. He said that Leveraged Lion Capital has helped him learn credit fundamentals, and develop an interest in understanding credit documentation, presentation, and articulation skills.

David Curtain
Monthly Reports

David Curtin is a junior studying Finance with a minor in International Business in the Smeal College of Business from Pottstown, PA. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Fall of 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Monthly Reports. David will be interning for Bank of America Summer 2021 in their Investment Banking division. David previously served as the Lead and Associate Analyst in the Consumer & Retail sector. His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes Nittany Lion Fund and the Global Business Brigade. Some of David’s interests include the Philadelphia Eagles, coffee, and playing basketball. He said that Leveraged Lion Capital has helped him develop time management and critical thinking skills.

Om Salunkhe
Weekly Reports

Om Salunkhe is a junior studying Finance and Statistics in the Smeal College of Business and the Eberly College of Science respectively, from Mechanicsburg, PA. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Fall of 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Weekly Reports. Om previously served as Lead Analyst of the Healthcare sector and Associate Analyst in the Healthcare sector. This summer, Om will be interning for LionTree in their Investment Banking Division. His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes the Nittany Lion Fund and being a member of the Sapphire Leadership Academic Program. Some of Om’s interests include racquetball, Bollywood movies, and volunteering. He said that Leveraged Lion Capital has furthered his knowledge of the fixed income markets and furthered his interest in pursuing a career on Wall Street.

Jack McCormick
Credit Research

Jack McCormick is a junior Finance and Technology Entrepreneurship major in the Smeal College of Business and College of Engineering respectively, from Horsham, PA. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Fall of 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Credit Research. He previously served as Lead Analyst in the Real Estate, Gaming & Leisure and Financial Institutions sector and Associate Analyst in the Real Estate, Gaming, & Leisure and Financial Institutions Group sector. This summer, Jack will be interning for Citigroup in their Investment Banking division.  His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes Happy Valley Ventures and Wall Street Boot Camp. Some of Jack’s interests include working out, watching Game of Thrones, and playing golf. He said that Leveraged Lion Capital has allowed him to expand his knowledge base within finance while meeting like-minded individuals.

Nicholas Vanden
Equity Research

Nick Vanden is a junior studying Finance with a minor in Information Systems Management from the Smeal College of Business from State College, PA. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Fall of 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Equity Research . Nick previously served as the Lead and Associate Analyst in the Energy & Utilities sector. His involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes the Nittany Lion Fund and the travel Club Tennis team. Some of Nick’s interests include backpacking, black holes, and World War II tanks. He said that Leverage Lion Capital has provided him with a platform to learn about the fixed income markets as well as develop hard and soft skills to prepare him for the Wall Street recruiting process.

Elena Calibeo
Outreach

Elena Calibeo is a junior in the Schreyer Honors College majoring in Finance and Economics with minors in Spanish and International Business in the Smeal College of Business and the College of the Liberal Arts respectively, from Newtown, PA. She joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Spring of 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Outreach. Elena will be interning at Citigroup in the Sales & Trading 2021 Summer Program. Her involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes THON, Alpha Phi sorority, and Wall Street Bootcamp. Some of Elena’s interests include sports, photography, and traveling. She said that Leveraged Lion Capital has connected her with driven, intelligent peers who have served as wonderful role models while helping her grow as a finance student.

Emalee Landis
Education

Emalee Landis is a junior studying Finance with a minor in Spanish  in Smeal College of Business and College of Liberal Arts respectively  from Colton, PA. She joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Fall of 2019 and currently serves as the Director of Education. She previously served as the Lead and Associate Analyst in the Information Technology sector. Emalee will be interning for Goldman Sachs in their Investment Banking Program Summer 2021. Her involvement outside of Leveraged Lion Capital includes being a member of the Sapphire Leadership Academic Program and serving as an Ambassador for Barron’s on campus. Some of Emalee’s interests include running half-marathons, Penn State wrestling, and traveling. She said thatLLC has continuously challenged her to think critically and analytically in order to analyze credit investments, which is a unique skill for undergraduate students to have. Not only that, but it has provided her with a group of long-lasting friendships and colleagues.
