Do I need to be a Finance or Business major to interview?
Not at all! We encourage all interested students, regardless of major, to join PSFIA and come out for LLC. We have many members who are in STEM or Liberal Arts. Please feel free to reach out if you would like to speak with them about their involvement.
Do I need to have and maintain a certain GPA to interview?
We do not have a GPA requirement to interview, but we acknowledge that LLC is a major time commitment. If you are struggling with your grades, you might want to consider joining LLC at a later time.
How much money does the LLC portfolio manage?
Leveraged Lion Capital is a paper portfolio, meaning we do not invest any real money. The reason behind this is due to the average bond and loan tranche size being upward of $250-500 million. We operate as if we hold real positions and buy and sell debt when approved by Portfolio Managers and the Executive Board.
How can I learn the required material to interview?
Each PSFIA meeting covers educational topics that you are expected to know when interviewing for Leveraged Lion Capital. In order to be successful in the interview, we suggest attending each PSFIA meeting, taking notes, asking questions, and mock interviewing with a current member of LLC. Upon paying your PSFIA dues you will be added to the PSFIA canvas page which has interview prep materials.
