Mert Budak
Lead Analyst of Consumer & Retail

Mert Budak is a sophomore from West Chester, PA, majoring in Finance. He joined Leveraged Lion Capital in the Fall of 2024 and currently serves as the Lead Analyst of the Consumer and Retail Sector. Previously, he served as an Associate Analyst in the Consumer and Retail Sector. For the summer of 2026, Mert will be interning at Goldman Sachs as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst in the Leveraged Finance Group. ​

Outside of LLC, Mert is involved with THON, the Nittany Markets Analysis Association, and the Penn State Finance Society. His interests include Jazz, soccer, and fantasy football. He said that LLC has provided him with a community of like-minded friends and helped him become better prepared for the financial services industry.
